Eligibility
To be eligible to enrol for Prep 2027, your child will need to turn 5 years of age by 30th April 2027.

School Tours
In order to assist you in making this very important and exciting decision, we run tours by appointment. These tours will be led by either the Principal or Assistant Principal. If you would like a tour, from Tuesday 10th March 2026 please call the office on (03) 9772 3471 to book. Tours are conducted from the school office between 9:15am and 3pm on school days.

Enrolment Process

Our school uses the Department of Education’s secure digital enrolment system called VicStudents. This means you can submit your Foundation (Prep) application online and receive updates through the system. If you have any questions about the online enrolment process, please contact our school. Paper enrolment application forms are also available on request.
Enrolment forms may be collected from the school office if you are an existing family. 

Documentation required includes:

• a completed Application to Enrol in a Victorian Government School
• a copy of the child’s original birth certificate or passport
• an immunisation certificate available from Medicare (this can be added later as the vaccinations are completed)
• Residency Visa [including sub-class number] for non-Australian Residents only
• proof of the address of family residence (rates notice, rental agreement or utility bill)

Acceptance Criteria
Enrolments will be accepted according to the following criteria:

• Our school zone is available on Find my School which hosts the most up-to-date information about Victorian school zones.
• The Bonbeach Primary school  zone can be found here Find my School.
• Students residing in this zone are guaranteed a place at our school, which is determined on the basis of your permanent residential address.
• The Department provides guidance through the Enrolling in Foundation (Prep) and Enrolling in School to ensure that students have access to their designated neighbourhood school and the freedom to choose other schools, subject to facility limitations.

Please ensure your Application to Enrol in a Victorian Government School and supporting documentation are submitted no later than Friday 31st July 2026 by 4pm.

A letter of offer will be emailed by Friday 14th August 2026 and parents will be asked to either accept or decline via the VicStudents Portal. Once a parent has accepted the offer they will be prompted to complete a Digital Enrolment Form via the VicStudents Portal.

Orientation / Transition Program
An Orientation / Transition Program will be held in Term 4 for all Preps enrolled at Bonbeach Primary School for 2027.
