Prep enrolments for 2024 will open in Term 2 on Wednesday 26th April 2023.

Eligibility
To be eligible to enrol for Prep 2024, your child will need to turn 5 years of age by 30th April 2024.

School Tours
In order to assist you in making this very important and exciting decision, we run tours by appointment. These tours will be led by either the Principal or Assistant Principal. If you would like a tour, from Wednesday 1st March 2023 please call the office on (03) 9772 3471 to book. Tours are conducted from the school office between 9:15am and 3pm on school days.

Enrolment Process
Enrolment forms may be collected from the school office or website.
Documentation required includes:

• a completed Enrolment Form
• a copy of the child’s original birth certificate or passport
• an immunisation certificate available from Medicare (this can be added later as the vaccinations are completed)
• Residency Visa [including sub-class number] for non-Australian Residents only
• proof of the address of family residence (rates notice, rental agreement or utility bill)

Acceptance Criteria
Enrolments will be accepted according to the following criteria:

• Our school zone is available on findmyschool.vic.gov.au which hosts the most up-to-date information about Victorian school zones.
• The Bonbeach Primary school  zone can be found here findmyschool.vic.gov.au.
• Students residing in this zone are guaranteed a place at our school, which is determined on the basis of your permanent residential address.
• The Department provides guidance through the Placement Policy to ensure that students have access to their designated neighbourhood school and the freedom to choose other schools, subject to facility limitations.

Confirmation of Enrolment

Please ensure your Enrolment Form and supporting documentation are submitted to the office by Friday 23rd June 2023.

Enrolments will be confirmed by post or email once all documents are provided.

Orientation / Transition Program
An Orientation / Transition Program will be held in Term 4 for all Preps enrolled at Bonbeach Primary School for 2023.

Details of this program will be posted out in Term 3.
