Bonbeach Primary is now Proudly an eSmart School

We are very proud to announce that Bonbeach Primary School has achieved eSmart status. This title recognises our considerable efforts in developing a whole school approach to reducing online and offline bullying. 

Keep an eye out for the eSmart school sign that will going up soon. 

Funding associated with the membership will help us to:

• maintain a supported and connected community 
• reduce the risk of antisocial behaviours such as bullying and cyber bullying 
• continue to build on knowledge and strengths in cyber safety and education 
• maintain positive online and offline behaviour 

Hello! We are the environment leaders from Bonbeach Primary. Last term we decided to participate in The Wonderful Worms School Competition 2023. 

For most of last term we have been working on a video about how amazing worms are. The environment leaders all worked intensely on this project including the teacher in charge of the environment leaders, Mrs.Ballos. Our hard work paid off immensely! We were one of the very few winners, hence receiving a one hundred dollar visa card voucher. This voucher is going toward environmental purposes such as, our garden and the chickens.

In addition, the school kinder have been growing some baby chicks over the past couple of weeks; we need your help deciding their names that we will all know them by. If you’d like to suggest a name, bring fifty cents and a small piece of folded paper with an appropriate name written clearly and your name and grade on the back. Environment leaders will be taking turns sitting outside the office in front of the basketball court. We will be checking all of the names to make sure they are appropriate, otherwise they won’t be included in the raffle. You will be able to give the names at recess and big play until the end of bigplay on Friday 24^th of November.The raffle will be held on Friday 24^th of November at assembly. 

To conclude our speech, we would like to thank Soil Week Australia for hosting the Wonderful Worms School Competition 2023.

Soil Week Australia is a not for profit organisation, run entirely by volunteers, dedicated to promoting soil health. The theme for 2023 “Wonderful Worms” aimed to foster students’ connection to nature while highlighting the critical role of healthy soil in our food systems, landscapes and climate.

We’ve selected the list of items your child needs to start the year and worked with COS so you can order everything you need in one go and it will be delivered directly to your School on the 17^th of January 2024.

Delivery Guarantee: Packs delivered to school

All orders placed before Wednesday 3^rd January 2024, will be delivered to the school prior to Term 1, 2024 commencing. Orders after this date cannot be guaranteed to arrive on time and may be delivered to your school a few weeks into the school term.
