Permission Forms and Payments
School excursions take a great deal of planning and preparation before they are able to be held. All venues and buses ask for numbers prior to the excursion. Staff/student ratios have to conform to the Department guidelines. At the same time, the organizers are aware of the need to keep costs at a reasonable level.ie. as low as possible.
These cannot be run successfully without your assistance. We need to have forms and money (if applicable) returned via Compass by the due date.
Unfortunately, there have been a significant number of late returns recently and, in most cases, students have not been able to participate in these events.
Notifications are sent out on Compass by push notification and email initially and then reminders every Monday until the excursion. There is also a final reminder sent out at least 24 hours before the due date.
If you are having difficulty accessing Compass or using it, please contact the office ASAP, do not leave until after the due date.
Unless there are extenuating circumstances, late payments/consents will not be accepted.
Lunch Orders.
Just a gentle reminder. Don’t forget the cut off time for lunch orders from the Tuck Shop is midnight Wednesday.
Teachers and Classes next year
It happens about this time every year!
There have been rumours going around about teachers changing Year levels and which levels they’re going into.
As I have just received teacher preferences for next year and I am still in the process of finalizing staff, teachers will NOT be placed until approximately the end of November and parents will be notified via the newsletter soon after that.

A great time was had by all Grade 5/6 students at Woorabinda Camp last week. It was a camp, the combined adventure, teamwork, and education, provided memorable experiences and encourage students to develop important life skills, build camaraderie with their peers, and foster and appreciation for the natural world.
Students were provided with the opportunity to participate in many activities, including, archery which developed focus, patience, and accuracy. High ropes enable students to push themselves out of their comfort zone and challenge themselves physically and mentally. This activity encouraged teamwork, problem-solving, and facing fears, while navigating obstacles at an elevated height. Zip lining was an exhilarating adventure and students experience a rush of adrenaline and some healthy competition while enjoying the beautiful surroundings. Environmental studies educated students about the natural environment and importance of conservation as they participated in guided nature walks, pondlife observations, and learnt about local ecosystems.
Students embrace the opportunity to work with a variety of people and challenge themselves to try new experiences, food and friendships and everyone had a fantastic time.
