Farmers’ Market
It was a cold, wet and windy day for our April Farmers’ market, however, 417 people braved the cold to come along and do some shopping. Thank you to our volunteers on the day for coming out to help despite the weather: Ange L, Justin B, Matt T, Kate A, Julian W, Luke F, Neil E, Michael B, Luke C, Daniel F, Brett S, Glen J, Scott J, Kelly H, Mayumi W, Kate D, Rebecca E, Megan K, Brent P. Thank you also to the following students for also helping on the day: Saraya L, Elise B, Stella T and Leo F helping on the BBQ, Ben D for selling seedlings from the school garden and Austin and Eleanor J for assisting with pack up.
Our May Farmers’ Market will be held on Sunday 9th May. Funds raised from the egg and bacon BBQ will go towards the school garden and our Year 5/6 team will be coordinating volunteers for the gates, set up and pack up with $500 from funds raised going to the 5/6 area. If you are able to assist on the day, please enter your availability into the Google form. https://forms.gle/2iBJMziB5ZTRv1n19
School Assembly
Due to our Year 5/6 students being on camp this week, there will be no assembly this Friday. We will also be holding a special assembly on Monday 26th April at 9:15am to commemorate ANZAC Day. Weather permitting, this will be held on the basketball court. In the case of wet weather, we will hold the assembly in the hall with our Year 5/6 students and record the assembly for the other year levels to watch in their classrooms. This is due to capacity limits for Covid-19 restrictions.
Year 5/6 Camp
On Tuesday, our Year 5/6 students headed off to the Golden Valleys Lodge camp in Flinders. Despite the Wintery weather, they are having a great time and we look forward to hearing all about it when they return on Friday. A big thank you to all of our staff attending camp for their organisation and time away from their families this week to ensure this camp could go ahead and be successful.
