Farmers’ Market
It was fantastic to have the Bonbeach Farmers’ Market back last Sunday after a year of not being able to hold the market. The weather was on our side and it was great to see so many members of the community out enjoying the market atmosphere. We had many new and old favourite stalls with a record total of 45 stalls and a record number of visitors to the market. The next market will be held during the school holidays on Sunday the 11th April where we will have even more stalls, you do not want to miss it!
A big thank you goes out to the Year 1/2 families who helped with set up, pack up and gate collection, Year 5/6 families and students who assisted on the BBQ and Worm Wee and to the Farmers’ Market Committee members for ensuring such a successful first market back.

BONBEACH PRIMARY SCHOOL HOUSE
CROSS COUNTRY DAY 2021
Next Friday the 26th of March, we will be holding our annual Cross Country Day. This is a whole school event that will take place between 9am-11am. The junior school (prep-Year 2) will be running a smaller course within the school grounds. Students in prep will be running one lap in their classes and year 1/2s will be running two laps with JST, JBT and JKM running together and JKB and JTC running together.
When not running, all juniors will be watching and cheering on from the middle of the oval. Estimated time of finishing is 10am. Classes are then encouraged to watch and cheer on as the senior school competes the larger course.
Year 3-6 students will be running a larger course on the outside of the school. They will run in their age groups and gender. Under 9/10 will be doing 3 laps of the course with under 11 and under 12/13 running 4 laps. This also doubles as try outs to make the District Cross Country Team. We expect the senior school to finish by 11am.
All students are encouraged to wear their house colours on the day. If you are unsure what house your child is in, please see their classroom teacher. This event will only be cancelled in extreme weather (eg: lighting and serve thunderstorms). Rain will not cause the event to be cancelled.
DISTRICT SWIMMING CARNIVAL 2021
Last week, Bonbeach Primary School competed at the 2021 District Swimming Carnival. The squad of 24 girls and boys from grade 3 to 6 that represented our school at the Pines Aquatic Centre did a magnificent job.
We had a number of students claim third and second ribbons, but also a number of students win their events who then went on to represent Bonbeach at the Kingston Divisional Finals at the start of this week. Special mention to Talitha. F who broke a new district record for the u12/13 girl’s freestyle.
