Congratulations to Our Prep Students

It was an absolute delight to celebrate 100 Days of Prep with our wonderful Prep students and their families on Tuesday morning. Our classrooms were filled with laughter as students arrived dressed as 100-year-olds, proudly sharing in this special milestone with their families. The morning included singing, dancing and a range of fun activities that celebrated just how much our youngest learners have grown over their first 100 days at Bonbeach Primary School.

Congratulations to all of our Prep students! We are incredibly proud of the enthusiasm, curiosity and resilience you have shown as you have settled into school life. It has been wonderful watching your confidence grow each and every day, and we look forward to seeing all that you continue to achieve throughout the remainder of the year.

Safety Around our School

The safety of our students, families and staff is our highest priority. We ask all members of our school community to drive slowly, obey all road rules and remain vigilant during the busy drop-off and pick-up times. Children can be unpredictable around roads and car parks, so your patience and attention are essential.

The staff car park is not to be used for student drop-off or pick-up under any circumstances. This area is designated for staff vehicles only and is not a safe environment for students or families.

Every Day Counts

At Bonbeach Primary School, we know that regular attendance plays a vital role in every child's learning, confidence and wellbeing. While we always ask families to keep children home when they are genuinely unwell, attending school each day when they are healthy gives students the best opportunity to thrive both academically and socially.

As children grow, they will naturally experience moments when they feel nervous or challenged. Whether it is performing in front of others, attempting a difficult learning  task or participating in a new learning experience, these opportunities help build resilience, confidence and independence. Our teachers are experienced in recognising these feelings and are committed to supporting every child through them with patience, encouragement and care.

We encourage families to partner with us by supporting children to attend school each day and participate in all aspects of school life, even when they may be feeling uncertain. If your child is reluctant to take part in a particular activity, please speak with their classroom teacher. Together, we can develop strategies to help them feel supported and successful.

Whilst staying home may seem like an easy solution to avoid one activity, it also means missing a full day of valuable learning, friendships and classroom experiences. This can sometimes make returning to school even more difficult, as students often worry about what they have missed.

Together, by encouraging regular attendance and celebrating children as they face new challenges, we can help them develop the resilience, confidence and lifelong learning habits that will support them well beyond their primary school years.
