As we come to the end of a busy and rewarding Term 1, it’s wonderful to reflect on the many highlights that have brought our school community together.
We were delighted to officially welcome our new Prep students and their families. It has been fantastic to see how quickly our youngest learners have settled into school life, forming friendships, building confidence and embracing their learning with enthusiasm.
Our Year 3–6 students have thoroughly enjoyed participating in the Garden and Cooking Program. This hands-on experience continues to be a highlight, giving students the opportunity to connect with sustainability, develop practical skills and enjoy the fruits of their labour.
Somers Camp was another standout experience this term. Students challenged themselves, built resilience and created lasting memories through a range of exciting activities. We are incredibly proud of the way they represented our school.
We also saw wonderful creativity during our Mother’s Day Pottery Making sessions, with students thoughtfully crafting special pieces for their special person to be treasured for years to come. We look forward to finishing these creations early next term in time for Mother’s Day.
Our Easter Bonnet Parade and Raffle were a fantastic way to celebrate together. The creativity on display was outstanding, and we thank our families for their generous donations of Easter treats, as well as our Parents & Friends group for their work in preparing the raffle prizes.
Of course, alongside these special events, the real highlight continues to be the fantastic teaching and learning that takes place in classrooms every day. Our students have shown great commitment to their learning, and we thank our staff for their dedication and care in supporting every child to succeed.
As we head into the break, we wish all families a very happy Easter and hope you enjoy a safe, relaxing and well-deserved holiday. We look forward to hearing about everyone’s holiday adventures when students return for Term 2 on Monday 20th April.
regards
Ken & Jayne
