A Message from Ken and Jayne

Thank You and Warm Holiday Wishes

As the year draws to a close, we want to take a moment to reflect on the many achievements of our students and extend our heartfelt thanks to our incredible school community. This year has been full of growth, success, and countless special moments, and none of this would have been possible without your support.

To our students, thank you for your hard work, enthusiasm, and dedication. You’ve shown incredible resilience, and we’re so proud of everything you’ve accomplished. To our parents and families, we appreciate your constant involvement and encouragement, whether in the classroom, at events, or behind the scenes. We would also like to thank our dedicated staff for their passion, commitment, and tireless efforts throughout the year, making 2024 another fantastic year at Bonbeach Primary.

As we head into the holiday season, we wish you all a very Merry Christmas and relaxing holiday break. We hope you are able to rest, recharge, and enjoy precious moments with loved ones. As we look towards another exciting year ahead, we know it will be full of new opportunities for our students to grow, learn, make new friends, cherish the old ones, and continue making memories together.

Thank you again for making 2024 such a successful year. Have a safe and wonderful holiday season and we look forward to seeing you all in 2025!

Warm regards,
Ken and Jayne

Recycling News

Earlier this year, we were given 4 small council bins to help implement our participation in the new Container Deposit Scheme.

After much discussion in the Environment Team Leaders Meeting, their unanimous vote was to donate the money raised from our participation in this scheme to Australian Animal Protection Society – AAPS.

AAPS works closely with many other animal welfare organisations to provide protection, assistance and welfare for all animals, and saves thousands of animals every year.

Our bins are labelled in our house names and colours:

Red - Lonsdale

Yellow - Sorrento

Blue - Torquay

Green - Gunnamatta

The final total raised from each bin is:

Red           $13.50

Yellow        $14.10

Blue           $38.80

Green         $93.80

This brings the total of 1,554 cans recycled from Bonbeach Primary School to $160.20 which will be sent to AAPS.

Well done everyone, and congratulations to our retiring Environment Team Leaders, Summer, Casey, Zoe and Joel. We wish them the best of luck for their new adventures next year.

Please continue to bring all your bottles and cans to school to fill up our bins, and our new environment team leaders can decide which charity to support in 2025.

Many thanks for everyone’s support with this initiative.
