GRADE ONE/TWO This term began with learning some new games to further develop our teamwork skills with a huge emphasis on communication. Students enjoyed learning the rules of these games and making modifications to ensure everyone could be involved.
Students have also been practising skills to play modified cricket including receiving the ball like a keeper and bowling the ball underarm and overarm.
For the remainder of this term, PE sessions will focus on learning the skills for bat and racket sports, cricket, tennis and golf.
GRADE THREE/FOUR |

This term, the 3/4 students have been learning the rules and skills of Volleyball. The grade 3s will play a round-robin in the coming weeks using modified rules. The Grade 4s are learning about the sports played for Interschool Sports in Grade 5; Volleyball, Basketball, Kickball and Cricket, how the teams are selected and how the competition runs. Students will also complete their final Beep test for the year and have some free choice time with the gymnastics equipment.
GRADE FIVE/SIX |
Students have just completed a 3-week Touch Football clinic. It was pleasing to see all students get involved, listen, and learn all the skills of a game many were unfamiliar with. Touch Football opportunities will be available at High School, so it is great to know our students have knowledge and experience going forward.
For the remainder of this term, we will learn some new games to build on our teamwork skills and set up mini competitions in Tennis and Continuous Cricket.
