A Message from Ken and Jayne

Welcome Back

It was great to see everyone back looking refreshed and ready to go for third term.

It was a cold start to the term and will remain cold for a while yet, so please ensure we are all ‘coldsmart’ and dress appropriately for the weather.

Prep Enrolments for 2025

A gentle reminder to parents who have a prep starting next year that the cut off date for enrolment is next Friday 26th July. Enrolment forms are available from the office.

Alby is off to National Cross Country Championships

A huge congratulations to Alby Phipps who came 3rd in the State Cross Country Championships this week. This means Alby will be competing in the National Cross Country Championships later this term. What a fantastic effort!

regards

July Farmers' Market News

The Farmer’s Market on Sunday 14th July was a huge success despite the wet and chilly weather. It was a busy day with 1700 adults coming through the gates to shop locally and enjoy the community spirit.

A huge thank you to all the Pre-school families who volunteered on the day to assist with set up, gates and pack up. We could not run the market without the assistance of volunteers and appreciate everyone who gives up their valuable time.

The Pre-school plan to spend some of their $1000 market money on a new laminator to create educational resources for the students and two sets of giant sand timers.

If you are available to assist at the following markets this year, please keep your eye out for the links that are sent out via Compass to year levels and the whole school community, enabling you to register your name and shift preference.

11th August – Year 1/2s

8th September – Year 3/4s

13th October – Year 5/6

10th November – Prep

8th December – Pre-school

Garden News

This term Year1/2 and Prep students will be participating in the School Garden Program. Year 1/2s had their session on Tuesday and after a quick revision of the rules they sketched a birds eye view of the garden including existing crops and discussed future plans for planting. They also got to meet and cuddle the new chooks!

Prep students are looking forward to getting started next week. As the weather is very chilly this time of year, please remember to send a warm coat on Tuesdays so students can explore and work in the garden warmly.
