A Message from Ken and Jayne

Interviews

Thank you to all parents who made appointments to meet with their classroom teachers on Monday afternoon and this afternoon. We strive to nurture a positive partnership between home and school and believe that by working together we can achieve the best outcomes for your child.

Reports

Semester 1 Reports were published on Compass last Friday, using the new format that we have been working on throughout the semester. We appreciate all the positive feedback we have received regarding the new and user friendly format. The current format clearly outlines information regarding your child’s academic progress, wellbeing and future goals to work towards throughout Semester 2.

End of Term

Students have worked hard throughout the term and have earned a well deserved holiday break. We wish all our families a safe and relaxing two week break, and look forward to seeing everyone refreshed and ready for a new term on Monday 15th July.

Don’t forget:- School finishes at 2:30 pm Friday 28th June, our last day of Term 2.

regards

Ken & Jayne

Farmers' Market Sunday 14th July 2024 Reminder

Thank you to all the preschool families who have volunteered to assist with the next Farmers' Market on the last Sunday of the holidays, July 14th 2024. Don’t forget to stop by the Egg and Bacon BBQ stall to pick up a tasty egg and bacon roll to support the School Gymnastic Club who will be running the BBQ.

We look forward to a variety of stalls to shop locally and enjoy the delicious treats on offer.

ICAS Assessments

Garden News

While Year 3-6 students were disappointed to be finishing the Garden Program for the term, they were excited to have the opportunity to cook with ingredients they have nurtured and grown in the school garden.

Students cooked purple fried rice by boiling purple cabbage leaves and using the water to boil rice finishing the process with a magic trick to turn it pink with a squeeze of lemon.
They also made delicious pumpkin scones as well as crackers with roasted pumpkin and hummus dip!

No snails were harmed in the cooking process! Students didn’t eat the snail on the cauliflower freshly picked from the garden, along with kale, silver beet, spring onions and fresh eggs as there were so many other delicious things to snack on.
