Pyjama Surprise

You must have wondered if we had all gone mad on Tuesday morning when you arrived at school and all the staff were wandering around in their pyjamas. Please be assured that we are all quite sane, it was a clever plan to inspire student’s creativity, and it worked wonders.

On Tuesday we had a whole school writing moderation task around the theme of teacher’s wearing their PJs to school, and what better way to make the topic relatable to real life than to actually wear our PJs.

The writing pieces many students produced were engaging and creative as they invented scenarios and reasons as to why none of us were wearing ‘normal’ clothes. Most importantly we all had a laugh, and students couldn’t wait to share their ideas.

It was wonderful to see so many parents, yesterday afternoon, who came to celebrate Education week, see and participate in the engaging STEM based activities students were immersed in.

In Victoria this year Education Week is celebrated from Monday 13 May to Friday 17 May. This year's theme, Spotlight on STEM, highlights the importance of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) in our everyday lives, in the classroom and beyond.
