Sun Smart Reminder
This is a reminder that hats are to be worn at school in Term 2 until Tuesday 30th April.
We thank you for your assistance with ensuring Bonbeach Primary is a Sun Smart school.

This week Year 3/4 students demonstrated their fantastic culinary skills in the kitchen using fresh produce from the school garden.
Staff and students enjoyed delicious Pumpkin Drop Scones, Beetroot and White Bean Dip and Pumpkin, Silverbeet and Fetta Couscous. Recipes are available on Seesaw for you to enjoy. It was wonderful to see so many students trying a new food and most loved it.
Students eagerly wore our new Stephanie Alexander aprons and used some of the $250 Coles voucher we WON to supplement ingredients.
A huge thank you to the parents who volunteered their time to assist students to participate in this great program.

It’s pleasing to see the community supporting the school by providing appropriate containers for the Victorian Container Deposit Scheme in our specially marked bins that are decorated in house colours and are located near the office. The Environment leaders have chosen to donate the money collected to the Australian Animal Protection Society (AAPS). We’ve already filled the Torquay bin and hope the others will soon be filled as well. Well done Torquay! Keep collecting over the school holidays and bring them in next term.
Below is information about the AAPS organisation. Megan, who is a representative from AAPS will be coming to our first assembly next term on the 19th April where the Environment leaders will present the amount raised.
AAPS – Where Hearts & Paws Meet in Keysborough
Australian Animal Protection Society (AAPS) cares for homeless animals while aiming to find their purrfect furever homes. Although most animals in AAPS's care are dogs, cats, & rabbits, the shelter accepts all animals in need.
AAPS was established over fifty years ago and is a community-based, registered charity that relies almost entirely upon volunteers and community support.
AAPS works closely with many animal welfare organisations to provide protection, assistance, and welfare for all animals. You can help AAPS achieve their mission of saving thousands of animals every year through adopting from their shelter, visiting one of their three op shops, taking your furchild to their grooming salon and vet clinic, or simply sharing their adoption posts across social media.
AAPS is non for profit, so all the money donated or raised goes back into looking after the animals they have at the shelter.
