A Message from Ken and Jayne

What an amazing term!

As we were viewing the wonderful work being presented in the 3/4 open afternoon yesterday with families celebrating students hard work, we couldn’t help but feel grateful to be part of such an enthusiastic, supportive and nurturing community. The students, parents and staff make Bonbeach Primary the amazing place it is and sometimes as we move through our busy and hectic days and weeks it is easy to overlook what is right in front of us, and take it for granted.

Our dedicated staff, enthusiastic and hard-working, students and supportive families have helped to make this term such as success. With events such as, Art Show, 3-6 Athletics Carnival, District Athletics, Science and Book Week activities, excursions and incursions and open afternoons in various Levels, students have had the opportunity to showcase their various talents, achieve goals, challenge themselves and thrive. We would like to take this opportunity to thank you and your amazing children for your ongoing
support and wish you all a safe and relaxing holiday break in.

The Positive Impact of Pre-Service Teachers

Bonbeach Primary is dedicated to mentoring pre-service teachers. Not only does this program assist in training educators for current and future generations, it also benefits schools, as these teachers bring enthusiasm, varying talents and dynamics into our classrooms. Students gain additional support from an extra teacher in the classroom and form valuable bonds that inspire their learning.

This term we have been lucky to have so many wonderful pre-service teachers across the school and their impact on students is evident in a poem that caught our attention yesterday. It was written by Emme and Rose in MBJ describing Mr Daly who has been on his final teaching placement in their class.

Mr Daly is the best

He gives everyone a cool math test

He teaches us the spelling rules

and don't forget that he is cool.

He teaches us to drop the 'e',

and then we add an 'i-n-g'

We really don't want you to go,

We wish the time with you would go slow.

He teaches us the reading,

that we're really needing!

We hope to see you very soon

We want to see you by tomorrow noon!

Yay for the Pre-School

Just to top off a fantastic term, the Pre-School has surpassed the National Quality Standards for their service. It has rated Exceeding in all catogories. This is an amazing result as the assessors score very rigorously.

To quote: - In determining the ratings, the Department of Education (the Department) has undertaken a rigorous assessment of the quality of your service against the NQS and the National Law and the Education and
Care Services National Regulations 2011 (National Regulations). The concise report reflects the service’s unique characteristics and clearly identifies the standards where the service is rated Exceeding National Quality Standard (NQS)

Congratulations to all of the staff who have worked so hard to achieve this.

regards

Ken and Jayne

Thank you to the families who volunteered to support our September Farmers’ Market organised by Year 5/6 and these students will benefit from your hard work with $1000 from the funds raised going directly to 5/6s for educational purposes.
