End of Term
A gentle reminder that school finishes at 2:30pm tomorrow, the last day of Term 2. We hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday and look forward to the start of Term 3 on Monday 10th July.
Reports
Mid year reports will be up on Compass this afternoon after 4pm. The teachers have put a great deal of thought and work into them and I am sure they will give you a very clear picture of where your child is academically.
Parent/Teacher interviews are being held on Tuesday 18th July and Thursday 20th July. Interview times will be available on Compass this afternoon.
Preschool Pickup
There have been occasions this term where some preschoolers have been playing with older siblings or friends from school after their pick up time rather than going home. We are aware that younger siblings get excited when they see their older siblings and want to play with them, however, there are O,H &S safety issues that prevent students who are either not enrolled or are on site outside out of their designated Preschool hours.

Weird, wonderful and wacky describes Bonbeach Primary on Thursday 8th June. Students and staff embraced the opportunity to explore their wild side as they participated in Crazy Hair Day. Funds raised will go towards refurbishing our cricket pitch.

Disco mania hit BPS last Friday, and students bopped till the end as they danced the night away amongst cool moves and glow sticks. Party bags and a sausage sizzle topped the night off and everyone had a fantastic time.
A HUGE thank you to the P&F and all the volunteers, for organising this wonderful event that helped to make the night a success.

Every Wednesday morning a group of our fantastic parents volunteer to chop and deliver fruit to classrooms for students to enjoy and recharge. This program is sponsored by Woolworths and Good & Fugly.
Students love receiving their weekly platter of goodness and we ask that if you have some time to spare on a Wednesday morning to assist with cutting and delivering fruit, please contact the school office on 9772 3471. Many hands make light work, and your assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you again to all the families who volunteered at our June Farmer’s Market to make it a success and raise funds for our Prep students.
The next Farmer’s Market will be held on the last Sunday of the holidays on July 9th and will be organised by the Pre-school.

Hi everyone! My name is Andy Coutts and I am a grade 3/4 teacher here at Bonbeach PS. I joined the wonderful team of teachers at the beginning of 2023. This is my 7th year of teaching. Prior to teaching, I worked as a researcher at Monash University, after completed a Ph.D. in Environmental Science.
There are many aspects of teaching that I enjoy. One of the best is simply reading and talking about a good book with students. It’s great to hear students reflect on different texts and to share their questions, connections, and their thinking with one another. I also enjoy the challenge of finding creative ways to help convey new concepts to students.
I live locally, with my wife and 8-year-old daughter. I enjoy watching NFL (Buffalo Bills) and soccer (Melbourne Victory) and I love a good horror movie! As my class knows, I like eating and cooking delicious food and my favourite food/drinks are coffee, donuts and buffalo wings! I enjoy travelling, having visited many places around the world, though over the last few years, we’ve mostly been on camping trips around Victoria.
So, that’s a little bit about me! I’ll see you around the school 😊
