End of Term 1
It is hard to believe that we are already at the end of Term 1! We have had a great start to the year, and it has been great to see the high levels of student learning and engagement occurring in our classrooms. We have once again had a busy term with many opportunities for students to engage in a range of experiences and activities including our Cyber Safety Incursions, Year 5/6 Parliament Incursion and excursion to the Old Melbourne Goal, Year 1/2 Dinosaurs Incursion and Year 3/4 Community Services visits from Victoria Police and Fire Ed. Our Year 3 and 5 students displayed great resilience with NAPLAN testing and our Preps have experienced a successful start to school having now completed their first full term of Prep.
We wish all families a safe and relaxing Term 1 break and look forward to another successful term in Term 2.
Farewell and Best Wishes
It is with regret that I announce that Ms Roolker and Ms Fregon are leaving the school today. Ms Fregon has been here for many years in many different roles and is leaving to go to a school much closer to home. Ms Roolker is leaving the Education Department to start a new career in Inclusion and disabilities; an area she has considerable experience in.
Both are going to be sorely missed but we wish them all the very best wishes in their new endeavours.
Term 2 Dates
A reminder that the first day back for Term 2 for students will be Wednesday 26th April.
Friday 26th May is also a student free day as it is our staff Professional Practice Day. Term 2 will be a short term with the last day being Friday 23rd June.
regards Ken

Dear Parents and Carers,
It is wonderful to see so many enthusiastic readers that have joined the Premier's Reading Challenge. We understand how precious time is, and in order to help you source the books for the challenge, we will have our library open each Monday afternoon between 3:30-3:45pm. This begins Week 2, and then from Week 4 onwards. This will also only be available for students in Prep - Grade 2, during the reading challenge, as an opportunity to find books that they can complete from the challenge list. Please note, that they must be accompanied by a parent.
Kind regards,
Millie Goray.
