End of Year
Tonight, the Year 6 students will be having their Graduation Ceremony. Monday evening, we will have our Christmas Concert and then Tuesday will be the final day of the school year.
These all seem to have suddenly come upon us and this year seems a bit of a blur but, paradoxically, it seems also to have been a long year.
I don’t recall seeing so many students and staff being so tired at this time.
This is our first complete year of schooling in 3 years and I would like to congratulate all the students, their families and the staff here for not only getting through the year, but also doing so well and making it such an enjoyable and fruitful year.
We wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. We hope you have a fun filled and safe holiday and we look forward to seeing everyone back on the 1st day next year. Tuesday 31st January for Years 1- 6 and Thursday 2nd February for Preps.

Assembly
This Friday, we will be holding our assembly at 2:45pm on the netball court. At this assembly, we will be announcing our 2023 School Captains and House Captains. All other leadership positions for 2023 will be announced early Term 1.
Our final assembly for the year will be held at 1:00pm Tuesday 20th December, just prior to dismissal at 1:30pm.
Thank you and Farewell
We have some teachers who are leaving the school this year for different reasons. Mrs McCallum and Mr Sandy are leaving to teach at different schools, Ms Felmingham is going on Family leave and Mr Akeroyd is relocating interstate.
We thank all of them for their dedication and hard work here. They are all going to be missed.
We wish them all the very best for their future endeavours.
Farmers Market
Thank you to the many people who came along to our last Farmers’ Market of the year. We had 70 stalls and 1066 adults through the entry gates. Thank you to the following people for volunteering their time to help on the day:
Parents: Bridget W, Ryan M, Nick M, Glen J, Leigh I, Shane C, Kate A, Joanne F, Olga D, Caitlin W, Esther V, Cam G, Nicky P, Regan M, Pam P, Andrew G, Brett S, Justin H, Amy D, Jody SC, Anita P.
Students: Brigette R, Jacques R, Kai G, Owen P, Charlotte S, Renny M, Bella C, Dominic D, Madeleine D, Penny W, Lola W.
Staff: Nikki McCallum
We would like to thank all of our families who have given up their time to volunteer at a market during the year. The Farmers’ Market is not only a fantastic event for our community but also a great fundraiser for the school and it could not run without volunteers.
This year, each year level has received a total of $1000 to put towards items for their year level. This has been spent on items such as classroom games, subsidising excursions and purchasing of literacy books for students to read. We have also raised funds to go toward building a new bike shed for our students. More news to come about this in 2023.
Our egg and bacon BBQ stall has raised funds towards STEM resources, the garden program, Pre-School, supporting our Year 5/6 Energy Breakthrough team and Year 6 Graduation.
If you came along to a market and donated at the gate or volunteered at one or more markets throughout the year, thank you for your support.
A special mention also needs to go to our small, but hard-working committee: Anita P, Amy D, Jon C and Jody SC.
Thank you
We would like to thank the P&F for organising our 2023 Prep and Year 5 Buddy BBQ on our transition day this week. It was a great way to finish of the session with our future preps and buddies enjoying a BBQ together.
Thank you to Monique G for organising the food and to the following helpers on the BBQ and serving: Jenny F, Lauren V, Kirsten W, Amy W and Kristy C.

A big thank you to Woolworths Chelsea for all the generous donations they have made this year of all the fresh fruit and vegetables.
They have kindly donated every week to our wellness Wednesday programme that delivers fresh fruit to around six different classes a week.
Another big thank you to the volunteers who come each week to help chop the fruit.

Wow, what a way to end the school year!
This is what our generous school community has donated to M.S.F.I.N. (mothers supporting families in need.) The response has been amazing.
Thank you all.
Parents and Friends would again like to thank our entire school community for their continued support throughout the year and look forward to working with you all in 2023.
We hope you have a safe and happy Christmas.
……….and a reminder we are always happy to have new volunteers.
