A Message from Ken and Lisa

Remote Learning

It would be fantastic to think that we will be back to face to face learning at school after the 2nd September. We realise how difficult remote learning is for families and the teachers are trying to make it as fun and as easy as we possibly can. Our parents can be justifiably proud of the work they are doing with their children, whilst juggling jobs, etc.

We all want to see our children back at school and return to a normal life as quickly as possible. Stick with it, do the right thing and stay safe. We look forward to seeing you all ASAP.

Playground Closed

As per current Covid-19 restrictions our play grounds, and basketball/netball courts are currently closed for use. These areas can only be used during school hours by our students attending onsite supervision or TheirCare. We understand how difficult this restriction is for children but we ask for your support in following these restrictions to keep us all safe.

Book Week

Bonbeach PS will be celebrating Book Week next week on Friday 27th August. We encourage students to get dressed up as their favourite book character for their morning Google Meet and then email a photo through to Mrs McCallum for inclusion in our online assembly. There will also be a range of fun activities for students to choose from to complete throughout the day. This will include some fun art and craft activities linked to picture story books. We will provide the activities to families in advance so that if you wish, you can pan out the activities in advance and ensure you have all of the necessary materials. Please see the flyer within this newsletter.

regards

Ken & Lisa

Theircare News

What has been happening at TheirCare Bonbeach.

Once again, we find ourselves in and out of lockdown, but I’ve been so impressed on how resilient the students at Bonbeach have been. We have introduced some new games to the students. Buildzi has been a huge hit the children compete against each other to see who can build their tower first. We had our own Olympic Games where the students made their own medals and competed in races and other games. We have discovered that we have a talented bunch of kids,  with our spontaneous performances which have been very entertaining.

QIP

We would love your feedback on how you think the service is going and the areas you think we can improve, please when you have time fill out our survey, so we can improve our service for both you and especially your children

Bookings and Cancellations

Parents, as our bookings are increasing, we are encouraging you all to book your children into our BSC & ASC sessions. Bookings made less than 48 hrs will charge a fee. This also goes for cancellations. Doing this ensures we have the required ratio of educators to provide a high-quality program for your children. Please make sure you cancel your bookings if your child is not attending even if its last minute.
