A Message from Ken and Lisa

Uniform Policy Feedback

This year, School Council will be reviewing and updating our current ‘Uniform Policy’. We are seeking feedback from families regarding this policy. If you have any feedback that you would like School Council to consider, please email Lisa – Lisa.Roolker@education.vic.gov.au

Our students will also have the opportunity to provide input through the Student Representative Councill (SRC).

The current uniform policy for your reference, can be found here.

Farmers’ Market

Our Easter themed Farmers’ Market on the 10th April was a huge success, and it was fantastic to see many children enjoying the treasure hunt and face painting.

We had 1038 adults through the gate throughout the morning.

A big thankyou to all families who helped out on the day, particularly for the overwhelming response of support we received when we had to request further support with short notice due to some volunteers being unable to attend. Without the community support, this market could not run or be the great success that it is each month.

Thank you also to our Year 1/2 team for organising our volunteers for April.

Thankyou to the following people for your support on the day:

Parents/Careers/Grandparents: Kara M, Adela C, Fiona E, Dave G, Ester V, Scott J, Jarrod B, Kristy C, Heath W, Sarah O, Kelly H, Mayumi W, Nyssa B, Jody E, Jane W, Aideen G, Tanya C, Jon C, Jody SC, Anita P, Amy D, Mark M, Jenny F.

Students: Nina L, Lily V, Zoe V, Mikaila L, Paloma L, Oskar B, Brigette R, Jacques R, Carter M, Morgan M.

Our next market will be held on Mother’s Day, Sunday 8th May. Our Prep team are organising volunteers for this market and as a thank you for your support, $500 from the funds raised on the day will be going straight to the Prep team to spend on resources/activities for the Prep students.

If you are available to volunteer on the day, please complete the Google form: https://forms.gle/PqgQVdPw5VKf5V7f6

Long Hair and Dress Code

It appears that there are a lot of students who have grown their hair over the holidays. That’s great but please remember the dress code about shoulder length or longer hair for both girls and boys.

Shoulder length hair or longer, should be tied back to lessen the risk of injury or hygiene problems. All hair accessories should be in school colours (Navy, Sky Blue or White).

2 Pairs each

Josh Berry is a 16 year old on a mission! He is collecting 50,000 pairs of brand new warm socks so that every homeless person in Victoria, will have 2 pairs each. They are distributed to them through organisations that feed meals to homeless people.

“Homeless people say that one of the things they most need are clean, warm socks. People give blankets and jackets, usually when they no longer fit them or get another jacket, but you never give away your holey socks”.

Let's help Josh achieve this incredible goal and also help homeless people keep warm and have clean healthy feet.

There will be a box located at the office, where you can drop any donations in for the next month!

THANK YOU
