A Message from Ken and Lisa

Staff Car Park

A reminder that the car park off Breeze Street is for staff only. For everyone’s safety, we ask that parents do not pull into this carpark and double park to drop their children off and that all parents and students use the entrance beside the car park to enter the school grounds.

P&F Colourthon

A huge thank you to the P&F for the Colourthon last Friday afternoon. If was a fun filled afternoon with many very colourful students, staff and volunteers by the end of the afternoon! Thank you to all families who raised money for the event which will go towards the purchasing and installation of stage lighting in our hall. The P&F are still finalising the donations and we will announce to the school community how much was raised very soon.

regards

Ken & Lisa

A Message from the PE Department

BONBEACH PRIMARY SCHOOL HOUSE

    CROSS COUNTRY DAY 2022

Next Friday the 1st of April, we will be holding our annual Cross Country Day. This is a whole school event that will take place between 9am-11am. The junior school (Prep-Grade 2) will be running a smaller course within the school grounds. Students in Prep will be running one lap in their classes and the Grade 1/2s will be running two laps with JKM, JBT and JFR running together and JKB and JSB running together.

When not running, all juniors will be watching and cheering on from the middle of the oval. Estimated time of finishing is 10am. Classes are then encouraged to watch and cheer on as the senior school competes the larger course.

Grade 3-6 students will be running a larger course on the outside of the school. They will run in their age groups. Under 9/10 will complete 3 laps of the course with under 11 and under 12/13 running 4 laps. This also doubles as try outs to make the district Cross Country Team. We expect the senior school to finish by 11am.

All students are encouraged to wear their house colours on the day. If you are unsure what house your child is in please see their classroom teacher. This event will only be cancelled in extreme weather (eg: lighting and serve thunderstorms). Rain will not cause the event to be cancelled.

Any parents of middle/senior school students that are available and willing to help be a course marshal on the day, could you please see or contact myself corey.mccormack@education.vic.gov.au. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
